The Friendship Nations Group organiser has announced that the news section on the Neocities website is to be expanded to include written articles about the group that will be linked to the More News section of MicroWiki.

The organiser hopes that this initiative will bring more traffic to the Neocities website, which has proved very useful in attracting new members to the FNG in the past. The news section of the website contains a menu to other sections of the website.

Currently, the news section, where the organiser hopes to upload news articles to promote the group, contains only two video reports from Radio Samizdat. One report relates to GUM, while the other is a report on the hacking incident of 10 October 2025.

The organiser of the FNG is conscious of the changes that are likely to be imposed on the group as a consequence of the new age verification process at Discord. This includes the possibility that the FNG may abandon Discord and promote itself from Neocities instead.

Such a change needs planning and may require operating from a chat box embedded in the group website. This would be a tough challenge when organising events, as all types of files containing information would need to be transferred.

At present, no decisions have been made, and a wait and see approach has been adopted. But an increase in traffic through publicity in the form of news would be beneficial to the FNG, even if there are no other major changes.
