REPORT ON THE FRIENDSHIP GAMES 2026 Click to see medals table The 3rd edition of the Micronational Friendship Games was held in June 2026. This event was organised by the State of Samizdat and the Friendship Nations Group from the group’s Discord server, with a presentation page on Neocities. Micronations that are members of the Friendship Nations Group were invited to participate in this annual event in all or just some of the sporting events. The rules of this event, along with additional information, were made available before the start of the games. The winner of the Friendship Games 2026 was the Selaris Empire, with the host nation, State of Samizdat, in second place. The Commonwealth of Yatomistan was in third place with a very respectable medal count. The organisers of the Micronational Friendship Games 2026 designed a special logo for these games, which consists of the word “Samizdat”, the year 2026, and an Olympic-style red flame. The official mascot for these games was a red chilli called “Silly Chilli”, which appeared in the promotional material related to this micronational event, including the presentation video, the official poster, the medals table, and the main Neocities website where details of this event were published. The Micronational Friendship Games 2026 attracted a total of 14 participating micronations, most of which
participated for the first time. All 14 micronations won at least one medal in these games. The micronations
that participated in the 2026 games were as follows:
A presentation video to celebrate the games was published after the event and participation certificates were awarded. An official poster for this event was designed and published for participants to download and print. The Friendship Nations Group organiser hopes to repeat this event in 2027, with more participants than ever before. The 2027 edition of the Micronational Friendship Games will be the fourth edition of this virtual sporting event since they were first celebrated in 2024. Date: 2 July 2026 |
